Hello everyone,

Hope the weather is treating everyone well...I am so much loving this climate its so unusual to have such a pleasant weather in Mumbai;-)

So my new obsession is to make CAS cards...OHh I am so much getting hooked and addicted to it...So today I have not 1, not 2 but Yes 3 CAS Cards...I dont think i have posted so many cards together till date hehehhe...

1) Beautiful Blue - I so so loved the cooling and soothing effect of this card...It definitely puts my mind to peace after a stressful day at work;-)

2) Pretty Pink - Newly acquired Baby stamp set (sry don't know the brand but got it from Jovita's Store)...The sentiment stamp is from Fiskars Baby Set..Perfect for a new little princess in the family;-)

3) Baby Card - I was so in love these plastic safety pins the minute i saw them..So picked them in a few colors..Have created circled windows with spellbinder circle set and then used the scalloped circle frames, added a transparent sheet behind ...The sentiment is also from Fiskars Baby set...Personally one of my Favorite cards;-)

I am entering these cards for ICR14 challenge CAS Cards... and also for Varna's stamping challenge

Finally into 2012;-)

Hello Girls,

Its been very very veryyyy long since I have been away....hope to be more regular apart from my ATC swap in 2012.....God i have really missed this soooo much....

I hope 2012 is going to get a lot of crafting out of me...So now lets get to showing you two simple CAS cards that i made..Oh yes for me the new things I learnt in this process...never made one layer cards so it was fun but I must admit quite challenging...an another fun technique learnt...Stamping...God this was my biggest fears but managed to get a hang of it...

So here the first Card

1) This Card is CASED from one of Tejals CAS cards (sry for some reason cudnt add the link here) ...I just cant thank her enough for all the tips she has given me to start getting into stamping...(Also to buy the supplies)...Thanks a ton buddy...this Card is solely for YOU....

2)Flower Power: I just went randomly experimenting stamping with all colors i got in the New Momento Dew Drops pack....and to my surprise i just loved the way the Card turned out...
Later realized that i didnt even leave any space for the sentiment lol;-)NO Issues i stamped in the inside to give the recipient a quick surprise...

I am submitting these cards for the ICR14 challenge CAS Cards...

I definitely hope to be more regular with my posts...And I will also start blog surfing to see all your lovely creations...Thanks girls for being there...

A Decorated File and Few RAKs

Hello People,

Hope you all are in the pink of health...My latest craft project after quite a longtime is this decorated file for my nephew's school project...The minute he got it from school he directly landed at my doorstep requesting to decorate it for him...Was really short of time so finished this file in approx 45 mins...My life was little easier because of all the wooden stickers i had in my stash, immediately the Nature Theme clicked in my mind...

Hope you all like it...My Nephew just went crazy drooling over this;-)

Also pics of few RAKs i received over the last month...I celebrated my 3rd wedding anniversary in April and was amazed to receive good wishes from all my crafting buddies...Thanks a ton for all you support and good wishes...Im so glad to have met u all...

Secret Sweetheart Swap and Valentines Card

Hello Everyone,

So its already March now. 2months of 2011 are over..OMG time is moving so so fast….

First the amazing goodies I received for the secret sweetheart swap from Anita…I just love the way she has done up the box…so pretty though it got a lil mashed in transit but that's fine…And she sent me a lovely punch craft card and tons of lovely goodies like notecards, tags…I am so glad to participate in this lovely swap…Thanks Asha and Tejal for this fab idea…

The below is a pic of goodies I sent to Shraddha I was her secret sweetheart..I sent her PP’s, ribbons, buttons, die cuts etc…

Secondly My Valentines Card…This is CASED from Tejal’s card… I had made it for my DH for valentines but posting it now…Though I love the way she did her card more than mine;-)…thanks for encouraging me buddy to do this card..Quite a few new things I did in this card, yeah I finally did stitching on my card and im so happy the way it looks, my new possession Scor buddy makes its debut with this card, the blue background lines are scored to the grid box effect…Hope you like it..

Hello Girls,

Hope everyone's doing well and getting geared to spend the valentines with loved ones...Today's post is to thank some lovely buddies I have met during this journey of crafting madness...

Firstly Anita...what should i say about her? friendly, helpful, kind, encouraging, sweet...i can give so many many more words but that seems less...
Sometime ago i had received an order to make 60 thank you notes but due to lack of time wasn't sure if i can finish them...Anita "the angel" turned out from somwhere and completed these Princess themed thank you note cards in just 2days FLAT...can you believe this? a superwoman i must say;-) Thanks buddy...

Then she sent me this lovely card which she had won in some challenge (Pic taken from her blog)

Second Thank you is for Tejal.... This is the Dec ATC she made again to send me as due to some tragedy(which is a long story) i could not get to keep any ATC for Dec theme and she was so sweet enough to make a new one for me...Thank you buddy for all the encouragement...Means a lot...Pic taken from ATC blog...(my ATC has added text of Love Ya on it) Sry the camera is with a cousin so cudnt take a fresh pic

Getting more from your Patterened Paper

Hello,

The week has been crazy with hectic work schedules and wedding occasions to attend to, but somehow just managed to take some time out for crafting inorder to rejuvenate myself…crafting therapy works the most for me even better then a spa I guess…lol..;-)

Neways back to the card I made, I had seen this fabulous reinvention of the PP’s at Yvonne’s blog for Dana’s challenge and thought of giving it a try….The first pic is of the original PP (yellow and creamish)…I was finding the yellow color too weird and then wracked my brains on what could I do to enhance it…I am not much of a good stamping person but nonetheless tried my hand at it and I am definitely feeling proud today after I finished this card. Thanks Yvonne and Dana for this lovely challenge, I’m really glad to participate as I could learn something new…

P.S. Sorry the pic hasn't come out too well but this is the max i could manage at night...

Hello Girls,

I am back with a card after a break of few weeks...but i hope u all haven't forgotten me;-) Neways this card is made for a friend on request...Her wedding anniversary coincides with Valentines day so had to make a 2 in 1 card...Have tried my best to add that special touch...This is the 1st time i have tried an easel card after looking for a few tutorials on the web..I really had loads of fun making this card...I just hope my friend likes it...

1st Project of 2011

Hello everyone,

Hope you all had a great start to the new year...I know im posting after quite a long break of 2 weeks but i have been keeping an eye on everyone's blog to see all the lovely things my crafting buddies come up with...

Sorry this post is a bit long with lots of pics ( i hope u guys have so much time to read thru;-)

My start to the new year has been with doing something very different..This time i have done a school project..The topic being water transport...i recieved a request and i thought of giving it a try...I spent good 10 days to do all this...But at the end i was really very happy with the way it turned out...It took me back to my school days of making projects (difference being they were much simpler lol;-)

Have tried at upcycling few things like plastic bottle for submarine, plastic brrom sticks, icecream sticks for ship, handmade wedding invite paper for shikara, different sizes of match box for hovercraft...Hope you like these..

Best work of 2010 and Tagged for 4!!!

Hello,

Our fellow blogger Kavitha has an event of posting the Best Work of 2010...This I must say is a difficult choice to make since i am a self proclaimed appreciator of my own art Lol;-)I must say over this year i have tried to make and learn different things with different techniques and have enjoyed the process...

My favorite work would be the digi layout i made for my DH...this was special cos it was my first attempt at any layout and we completed 3 yrs of togetherness...

I also have a close favorite which again was made for my DH for Valentines Day...I guess he gets out the best in me;-)

An End to a lovely Journey

Hello Girls,

Today I am about to share a part of my life that is unknown to a lot of my crafting friends...Not many are aware that i am also very passionate about dancing and i take classes for kids on weekends...Below are pics of the last christmas party as well as farewell party i conducted for the kids this saturday..Farewell why? that cos from Jan onwards i am on an office project to work on even Saturdays and hence that would not leave me with any time to take classes ;-( this made me very sad as most of these kids have been with me over the past 1.5 to 2 yrs and theres been like an attachment with them...I have had the most fun moments being with them...I really m gonna miss them loads loads...

We had a lot of fun in the party with a friend of mine agreeing to volunteer to make the kids play...Played games, puppet shows and finally comes the painful separation with them saying a goodbye...This journey is the one i am gonna cherish for the rest of my life...(The last 3 pics are me with the kids)

Hello Again,

Am back from my vacation to Kanha, had a great time there visiting the jungle, a very interesting and different experience. The climate of arnd 5to6 degrees added excitement to the adventure. Will put up few pics soon.

Hello everyone,

I know i was like lost in space for a while now but had too many things going on..Well will update about all that some other time...

Today i am here mainly for two reasons:

1) To wish all my blogging crafty buddies a very Happy Diwali and Prosperous New Year in advance..Hope the coming years bring loads of good wishes and goodluck to all you lovely people..

2) The second reason is I recieved my first birthday wish from Tejal, my birthday is 2 days away on 4th but girl u got a big dimpled smile on my face;-)...Thanks a ton buddy..The card is so lovely with her signature butterfly on it...

Decorative Tag # 2

Heya,

Back with another tag...this time a little more girly one:-)...so loads of pink on this, pink flower, pink ribbon...I have made this flower using a pink pipe cleaner...saw this tutorial on the internet so thought of giving it a try..it looks too cute....the green center of the flower is done with green wool(similar to what i had done for my summer ATCs) and the stem are 2 toothpicks wrapped in green papertape and fixed to the flower...Also used my new polka dot embossing background:-) Have got some new stuff would put up the pics soon...

Decorative Tag

Hello Girls,

This is a decorative tag that i made, kept animal theme in mind as the person im going to send it to loves animals...These are cute fridge magnets that i just found at a local gift store. So i removed the magnets from them and added them as embellishments to my tag;-)(we girls are super creative and manipulative on using such stuff hehe..)I am not too sure if this final outcome looks like tag but i just loved the way its turned out...Hope my swap partner likes it too...Keeping my fingers crossed...Need to make few more different tags so will put up more pics in a few days...

Supplies Used: Swirls CB embossing folder, green eyelet, wood magnets, few embellis, local cardstock.

Teddy Bear BookMark

Hello everyone,

This is my first try at making a bookmark..It was kind of fun making it...I had received this stamped image in a swap, i colored it with my Kohinoor Pencils..Added ice shimmer glitter to the flower to make it stand out..Also tried giving stitching effect for the 1st time..Thank you Tejal for the White pen;-) I have also sewed the button and the ric rac together to the bookmark to make it more sturdy...I am submitting this entry also for Crafty JC's challenge 2...

Hello everyone...

I am back with a birthday card...This card was made for my hubby's friends bday...Boys card is a big task i feel:-) no pink, no bling... but after a lot of thinking and inspiration from a blog called Scrap-a-little(cudnt add the link some major prob with my PC, i can hardly post comments on other blogs as well) i was able to finally mke the card...The Shirt and the tie is done using the tutorial on the blog...The blog is owned by Helen Croft...She is very talented and does lovely cards and tutorials ...A worth having a look...Thanks Helen for the inspiration...

This is the inside of the card...Text is handwritten...Also have embossed the borders wth cake motif...I have this local embossing handtool with few motifs..i bought this well before i got my bug...

My First Digi Layout

I am so thrilled to show you all my first digi layout...I did this special page for Dhruv (my Hubby)....I m really very sorry for the bad pics but i guess its reflecting more light as i got the sheet laminated...But nonetheless i am happy to share it with you all...I am really very happy with the way its turned out..He just loved the idea...i am so glad i tried it...

Finally Finally Finally….Thank god I have finally been able to sit down and post…I hope all my crafting queens from the blog-o-land are doing fine and budding with crazy ideas…

I had a loads of things going on (know it sounds like excuses;-(….)loads of personal functions to attend, crazy Mumbai rains, office work pressure as always…one little soul how much can I handle everything alone;-) so after all of it I ended up falling sick with loads n loads of cough n cold…took few days rest from work just slept like a log and now I am back on my feet…

Today really very Happy for a couple of things…..

a)A quick card to share with everyone…made this for my friends babies bday…he turned 4 years old and crazy after Ben 10…didn't have a Ben 10 sticker so ended up using Ben 10 colors…the kiddo just freaked seeing the card and it made my day;-)….

b)A close friend started up with her dream venture(was planning this since years I am so happy that I could see her dream turn into reality)…

c)Received a lovely bag of goodies from Anita for the blog candy that I won…OMG…the things she sent are lovely….I am so excited to use all of them…

d)Hubby was off town for work trip since the past few weeks so was really missing him a lot…finally he came back and my god the smile on my face reached my ears;-)..Also me n Hubby complete 3 years of togetherness tomorrow 12th August since the time we started dating (I know sounds very kiddish) so am planning a little surprise for him tomorrow;-)have tried a digital layout for him but dont know how to put it up here...its in a pdf format...

So all n all a lovely day…

Hope all of you are doing great…Would like to congratulate Jaya for the lovely challenge blog she has started…Also thanks to everyone for showing lovely enthusiasm for the ATC swaps…Me and Shalini are really happy to receive great response on a continuous basis…Please do let us know of any particular ideas you talented girls would have that would help us make our swaps better…! Heya...

I made this card keping the color of a denim in mind as my card base is of denim blue color and also the star cut outs are of denim fabric scraps;-)since its too hot i just tore my old pair of denims to make it short and then the minute i had the scraps in hand i started thinking of what could be done with these...and that how these stars came up...Embellished with colorful buttons to give that complete look...Didnt give any sentiment purposely so that i can use it as an SOS later;-)but phrases like starry birthday, ur a star etc etc did come to my mind...

Hello girls....
Hope you all are doing well...I have been missing out on this space for almost 15days now...But these 15 days have been really crazy..Loads of good as well as bad news to share with my fellow crafters...

Firstly for the bad news I lost my Cellphone...Left it in a cab by mistake...Had got it as a birthday gift from hubby this last Nov...so was really sad;-( but poor thing looking at my face he didnt say a word...

Work at office is just getting crazier day by day...almost 12 hours i am working and its really getting very tiring...Mar end pressures i guess...It still going be be a crazy month ahead i guess...

For the good news i just happened to show my baby and butterfly envelopes as well as gift tags at a local gift store and they offered to put it up for sale...So by this weekend i am supposed to give them around 50 envelopes and 30 gift tags...i will really need loads of energy to sit down and make them...though have already managed to make a few and a dear friend has volunteered to help...So really excited about this:-)

And lastly i would like to THANK YOU ALL for the lovely response that i have recieved for the craft lounge...It really feels very encouraging..I am trying my best to despatch the orders at the earliest...

So with so many things going around my life is more or less like a roller coaster as i have home front also to handle...Trying and balancing things..Hopefully can do all this forever..heheh...

Will get down to some serious crafting by weekend...Have been looking at all you girls blogs for sometime now but cudnt get time to post comments...Smita congrats on the bug..I know you must be going crazy with it...Juhi i love the book you have made...Turned out amazing...Spardha wow amazing work...Jaya your like a star..thanks for all the lovely links you keep posting...Anita you are like a champ at quilling buddy...Will definitely love to seeeveryones creations...

Hello Girls,

I know the subject “I bring to you Cuttlebug Products ;-)” got you all curious and excited at the same time ;-) Trust me this little monster machine is capable of doing this to every crafter..Even I have gone through this before I laid my hands on it…

For all the time that I have been crafting lately and getting lovely comments for my cards from my fellow crafters, one thing that has been common is the mention of the name “CUTTLEBUG”…So after a lot of thinking and with the help of suggestions from Shalini and Spardha (Thank you buddies) i have reached a conclusion to share my Cuttlebug stuff with my fellow crafting buddies from India…

So the GOOD NEWS (hopefully for you and me) is that I am putting up several products of Cuttlebug on SALE on my Blog..(This will help me to buy new products and widen my range of crafting goodies)

Phew...Long Crafting Day

Hello....

I got this urgent request for an exhibiton to showcase decorated envelopes and gift tags on Saturday and by Sun Eve was supposed to give all the stuff...After long 10 hours of crafting whole sunday(thanks to my mom-in-law n hubby for bearing with me) this is what i managed to make and submit for the exhibition...Around 120 envelopes (cudnt maage to take pictures of the other varieties short of time:-(....Around 30 gift tags...The exhibiton is for today and tomorrow...Hope it turns out well...Have kept my fingers crossed

School Book Cover

I decorated these books for my nephew's school project...He had some grading for this so my sister was behind my life to decorate it really well..I have just taken pics of the cover...In total had to decorate around 52 pages in the book from alphabet A-Z 2 pages each...But it was fun...really remembered my school days...My Nephew was just so happy showing it off to his friends saying "MY MASI DID it"...It was worth the effort after i saw that smile on his face...

Materials Used: Crackle medium from pidlite, plain wooden frame,black and white acrylic colors,shilpkar to make alphabets from hobby ideas and painted with red color, and some red embelishments...

Hey spardha...these are few colors samples that i have for you to see....The inks come in 3 tyoes of packs
1) 3 colors together - Rs 150 each
Pic shows i have 3 sets like these

2) Those candy type sticks 2 colors - Rs 30 each mostly
2 colors in one stick

3)Single colors - price dont know will need to find out but my guess is mwhr around 50 -70 each

Personal sugeestions budget wise the sticks are better..Utility wise single colors are better...the 3 set packs though good but becomes difficult to work with if the stamp size is large and chances of color overlap are high...
